Erika Jayne's legal problems just keep on getting worse and her battle is far from being over.
The Rich Housewives of Beverly Hills star is currently preparing to defend herself from a $25 million lawsuit that claims her involvement in her estranged husband's fraud lawsuit.
According to new reports, Jayne's trial could start in January 2023, leaving the reality star a year to prepare for a strong defense case.

Jayne's glamorous world quickly took a turn for the worse in 2020, after ex-husband Tom Girardi was sued for embezzling his clients' settlement funds amounting to at least $2 million, which were intended for the families of the Lion Air Flight 610 crash.
The same year, Jayne also filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" and she also testified in the case.
Throughout the proceedings, Jayne has maintained her innocence and claims she never knew anything about her husband's finance troubles.
“Erika was completely unaware of the very serious allegations that were being made against Tom in court,” says an Us insider in an interview with the magazine.
"Tom always handled all of the finances and that was how they handled things. Erika feels betrayed by Tom because she completely trusted him. She is just reeling from all of this, but make no mistake. Erika is a tough cookie and she isn’t stupid. She will get through this.”
Last year, an appointed trustee of the Girardi camp slapped Jayne with a $25 million lawsuit.
The lawsuit claims that the reality was aware of Girardi's money issues and has been paid off with her glitzy and glamorous lifestyle. She is also requested to pay back the $25 million (plus interest) spent on Jayne’s entertainment company EJ Global.
“She attempts to create a distinction between handling her money directly versus paying all of her bills directly. The distinction, like her prior motion for reconsideration, is meritless. Any payments made for her benefit are her responsibility," the court documents read.
Jayne has requested to dismiss the lawsuit and is currently preparing to go to trial, which could start in January 2023.
Her camp is currently gathering documents and testimonies from Girardi and the firm's former employees to help her case.
Her lawyer has also released a statement, denying Jayne's liability. “I can’t say enough that based on the evidence and law, Erika does not have liability for any of the claims against her,” he said.
“All the claims against Erika amount to efforts to blame her for the actions of others, including Girardi Keese and Tom Girardi.”
